I’m Brad.
I’m In My Twenties, And I Think A Lot.
One thing I’ve always been good at is never shutting up, even if that means in my own head.
I enjoy writing about the things I find interesting, and the things I can’t help thinking about.

Birmingham, UK.
I was born in October of 1998, in my favourite city in the world, Birmingham, UK.
A city of industry, characters, canals, and Cadbury’s chocolate; I’m very grateful to have grown up there.
How I Started Writing
Most of us seem to love writing when we’re children.
Then many of us reach a certain point – after years of writing because we’ve been told to, where we forget the enjoyment we used to get from writing because we wanted to.
This was certainly the case for me.
The Crash
Then, when I was 23, I was involved in a motorcycle accident that left me alone with only my thoughts and two injured hands for a while.
At first, I dreaded this.
Beforehand, I had turned to essentially living at work in order to occupy my mind, instead of dealing with the mental clutter. I was working 70+ hours a week, and sleeping at work most nights.
The Quote
During my recovery, I came across a simple but clever quote that I liked:
“Your mind is great for having thoughts, not so much for storing them.”
At least, it went something like that.
I don’t actually remember who said it either.
The Rest
Before long, and once my hands were somewhat usable again, I began writing down some of my thoughts.
I filled around 200 pages within the first two weeks.
It felt good to no longer be carrying around an excess of thoughts.
Since then, I’ve come to quite like the idea of some part of myself being stored on paper (servers are just fine too), a product of the life I have lived, and am living.
I still have to remind myself how useful writing is sometimes, but I almost always feel better when I do.
